Join Parker Watwood and Hina Pendle from the Foundation of Sustainable Living (FOSL), for a program hosted by Willits Economic LocaLization (WELL) on Jan 27th at 11:30 following the monthly Grange breakfast at the Little Lake Grange, Willits. They will update us on FOSL and support WELL's vision and momentum for creating sustainable community. Ask yourself: How much time do we have left for a shift to a sustainable lifestyle? Would you like Green retirement rather than the choices available today, with a useful dignified purpose? Does your community provide the best education for all ages? Education today needs to focus on the social and technical skills necessary for sustainable living for all ages? FOSL is working on it!! February 21: "The Breast Cancer Diaries"
7:00 pm Little Lake Health Center – 45 Hazel
Enter by the Back Door
For ten years reporter Ann Murray Paige covered the news. But when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 38, the only way she knew how to remain strong was to turn the camera on herself and document her battle. She challenges everything from "drive-through mastectomies", to how American society defines women by their breasts. Balancing work, motherhood, marriage and her illness, Ann's powerful diary speaks volumes for one in seven American women now diagnosed with breast cancer.
